Le Pain Quotidien Opens on Elm Street in New Canaan
Le Pain Quotidien (that's 'daily bread' in French) has opened its doors on Elm Street in the charming village of downtown New Canaan offering a unique array of organic and healthful lunch platters, sandwiches, salads, homemade soups, fresh country breads, pastries, fresh fruit and yogurt, and organic drinks, teas and coffees. Each lunch platter is served w/different kinds of Le Pain Quotidien's crusty breads. One platter comes w/olives, sundried tomatoes, fresh ricotta, slices of parm, proscuitto. Another comes w/hummus, baba ganoush., another with chicken salad, fresh greens - you get the idea. Also, on each table there's an assortment of incredible jams and an amazing nut spread. They also have fresh fruit, yogurt, organic milk for the kids, etc. The restaurant offers seating at regular and communal farm tables in a cozy brick-walled building on Elm Street, near the New Canaan movie theatre.
