BYOB Restaurants Growing in Popularity

Even before the recession, BYOB restaurants were popular, not only by the frugal but also by wealthier Fairfield County patrons who liked to share rare vintages from their own collections.

In the current economy, an increasing number of restaurants - new and others that have been around a while - are deciding to allow their patrons to bring their own wine, so we expect that this list will grow. What have we missed? Do you have a favorite? Let us know in your comments below.

Basso in Norwalk
Chef Louis in New Canaan
Tutti Invitati in Westport
Little Thai Kitchen in Greenwich and Darien
Osteria Applausi, Old Greenwich - osteriaapplausi.com
River Cat Grill, Rowayton

Editors Note: Corkage fees vary by restaurant and some have recently been reduced. Ask about these when you make your reservations.
